Struggling to work out where to repressurise Flexicom30

thanks guys - the boiler is in the loft, and the water cylinder is in the airing cupboard with an expansion tank/bottle. I'll search for an alternate connection, but couldn't see one initially cos that's where I started before going to the boiler in the loft.

Struggling to work out where to repressurise Flexicom30

Hello, I've just moved to a new house and noticed my Glow Worm Flexicom30 boiler pressure is 0.6bar, so I thought I'd try to top it up. I'm a decent DIYer, and I've done this at my last house, so I went to try to find a filling loop. However, all I can see on the underside of the boiler is...

Unvented CH loss of pressure - sloooowly

Hello Agile, What I want to know if where is the air getting in? (Surely I can't just leave the cold radiator).

Oops - just seen your reference to FAQs. I'll be back

Unvented CH loss of pressure - sloooowly

Agile, I realise the bleeding is causing the loss of pressure - but I've got a cold radiator with air in it. That's why I'm fiddling. Not used to unvented systems, so to measure the pressure vessel when the system pressure is zero do I have to drain down the whole system?

Unvented CH loss of pressure - sloooowly

Hello All, Recently moved into a 3 storey house with unvented CH system comprising (a) Keston C40 boiler on Ground Floor (for water and CH) and (b) Two separate CH loops (1st feeding ground floor rads, 2nd feeding 1st and 2nd Floor rads) including Orange Pressure vessel (in Cellar next to...

Appropriate Pressure for unvented CH in 3 storey house

One thing I have noticed is that the pressure doesn't seem to change at all between cold and hot - can you tell me what this indicates? Thanks.

Appropriate Pressure for unvented CH in 3 storey house

Hi Agile, Thanks for the reply. Pressure Gauge is in the cellar with the expansion vessel. So if pressure required on 2nd floor is 0.5bar, then it's 0.83 on 1st, 1.16 on ground (which is where boiler is) and 1.5 in cellar - which is what I've got. So that sounds ok as it is. How can I...

Appropriate Pressure for unvented CH in 3 storey house

Hello, There are similar posts online - but nothing that answers my specific question - so here goes... Recently moved into a 3 storey house with: (a) Megaflo Cylinder in Cellar (for water) (b) Keston C40 boiler on Ground Floor (for water and CH) (c) Two separate CH loops (1st feeding...

    Dishwasher Drain Motor Question

Thanks Sherlock. So I guess you mean the motor resistance is ok? There's no short hose - pump/motor is connected directly to base/drain of dishwasher and then exits via normal long hose to sink drain.

    Dishwasher Drain Motor Question

Hello, I've got an Indesit DI61 UK dishwasher that's started to intermittently fail to drain. I've dis-assembled and checked the hose (including looping for an air-gap) and the pump to check it's clear. This all seems ok. The only thing I'm wondering about is the drain motor - because...

    Timed extractor won't stay on

Spark123, Ah-hah - that might be it! As an amateur I'd assumed 'Load' was the supply and 'feed' was connected to the appliance. What a dummy! I'll re-read the posts to see if I understand now. Sorry guys!

    Timed extractor won't stay on

Hi Pensdown, Wow - that seems weird... Seems illogical to me because the 'Load L - Extractor SL' will always be live (I assumed the SL would be off/on). Also connecting the Feed L (which must be on/off via the switch) to the Extractor L is the wrong way round in my head. However, my head...

    Timed extractor won't stay on

Mattylad, Yes I think I am (See Option 1 above). I guess your saying I should change to Option 2?

    Timed extractor won't stay on

Breezer, Spark123, I understand the basic principle that the fan needs power all the time to operate the timer, and uses the switched L to initiate. But as for the wiring - I'm a little confused with your advice. Which one of these is correct? (Earth omitted for simplicity) Option 1...
