First post and hopefully a quick yes or no answer! Was sat watching a film in my front room yesterday evening when the lighting breaker went off. I reset the breaker back to the on position but the lights did not come back on.

The front room lighting consists of halogen downlighters running 35W bulbs with a GET wireless dimmer (link). I pulled down the first downlighter where the wireless dimmer is attached and by pressing the remote could see that the dimmer receiver was getting power and could also receive signal from the remote as the indicator light was working. Is it possible that whatever caused the breaker to go could have blown out all of the bulbs? I didn't have any spares to hand last night and as this is the front room am quite keen to get the problem sorted. I'm going to get a spare bulb today but could I be barking up the wrong tree? TIA

could be fuse within the dimmer, not changeable by user tho!

put an ordinary switch in its place then check it works

SWITCH OFF THE MAINS BEFORE WORKING ON IT!!!

It's possible that a fuse or other component inside the receiver unit has blown.
You may have to purchase another receiver.
Sorry the above post must have gone on at the same time.

Thanks for the replies. Will try a working bulb first to be sure but if not, new receiver looks to be the way forward.
