Hello All
so i have been searching for thistle dricoat all over and cannot find it so have decided to go for sand and cement with the waterproofer.

Is there a prefered waterproofer ot a product that is already mixed that i just add water too?

Cheers All

I would go with freeflo.
Best stuff around imo
i use approx 600ml per bag of cement

Make sure you check what type of cement you have bought, not all of them are comptible with Freeflo (see the back of the Freeflo tub)

Bill, what cement cant you use?

Really should nip to the van and check but can't be arsed plus it's good to have on here for OP

My nose got the better of me...

It turns out you aren't exactly correct in what you are saying, although not entirely incorrect!

It says pretty much says the guide for the ratio of freeflo/water is for Portland cement. If you use any other types of cement then a trial is reccomended to find the best ratio of freeflo to water. Doesn't say you can't use any particular cement

Hi

Fair enough,

Portland cement (CEM I) and Portland-fly ash cement (CEM II/B-V) are usually OK but be careful with the cements that already contain air (sometimes called 'enhanced' cements), such as Lafarge Mastercrete

Hope this helps
