Hi Folks, I have recently had two rooms knocked into one and to my dismay the two floors, marley tilers over concrete, are at slightly different heights,up to 5mm in places(!).
I have seen a product in the DIY stores called self levelling compound,a liquid product when mixed that is poured on the floor to find its own height (sounds good).
Anyone had any experience with this, can it be layed on top of the marley tiles or do they have to be removed?
The final floor will be,wait for it...Laminate. :)

Remove the marley tiles and screed onto the concrete screed.

Go for a quality screed like BAL Multibase (available from tiling distributors) rather than the cheap shed ones, they are easier to use and will comfortably go to 5mm without any bulking required.
