So there I was trying to find a replacement quality keyed chuck for my old (but powerful) persussion drill. By the time I payed for postage for the correct unit from a qualty dealer, it would be £20.

Then I remembered the reason I hate jobs that involve drilling into masonry is usually some frustration with this drill or the knackered chuck... which of course is why SDS was invented. I did my research and snapped up a right bargain which I'm keen to share with DIYnot.com so you don't miss out!

£40, save £40! Must surely be a pricing error given how much the same tool costs elsewhere

(p.s I have no connection, commercial or otherwise with ITS.co.uk)

It is available elsewhere for £44, but looks like a good deal.

I see £144 (amzon), but I can't see it for £44 on my search engine.

It's ex-vat , it's actually 47.99
I really hate ITS site, its just a stupid stupid retailer with tactics like these and the prices are one of the worst on internet for them.
STAY AWAY!

btw I found a better price within 20sec google search... Try harder next time :D

Btw it's not even that good price, that drill is low-end SKILL drill, that's what they cost...

A lot of people don't pay VAT on tools so it's really not an issue for people.

I've had good service from ITS, Anglia Tool Centre, Toolstation, and Alan Wadkins.

Screwfix leave a lot to be desired though! (Rarely have everything in stock, I just have to walk away in frustration). A company like this (as with Argos or the like) only works becuase they're good with stock control and know where everything is and can locate/move it around pronto. With all that data at hand they STILL end up running out of stock. And I'm not talking headline price deals, but normal run of the mill stuff

Screwfix has become a last resort for me. I don't think I've ever been in with a list of bits and been able to get it all there and then. The size of the warehouses they have I'd imagine it's not outrageous to suggest they have at least one of everything and put it on reorder as soon as it goes. Unless you're buying their own power tools everything else is really over priced too.
