just moved into a house with a greenhouse. Bought 3 small tomato plants and placed them in a grow bag. What do I do when they start to grow bigger do I put them in a pot or leave them in a bag
Thanks

You can leave them in the grow bag but they need careful watering those bags dry out really quickly. I use 10 inch pots one per plant you can use grow bag compost in them or any similar growing medium. I tend to use John Innes no 3 myself but it's not essential. You will need to stake them for support (easier in a deep pot than a grow bag) or peg strings into the compost and tie them to the greenhouse roof.
Do not feed till the flowers have set and little fruits formed then use a liquid tomato feed in the water.
Bush plants you leave to run riot, standard plants pinch out the top after 4 bunches have formed.
Have a Google about pinching out side shoots a lot simplier than me trying to explain it!(y)

Oh yeah, toms are very greedy plants, plus as said punch out the side shoots.

They were called “Shirley’s” bought them as a small plant with a few leaves already

Shirley is a traditional variety, a vine (cordon) rather than a bush.
You will need some canes, or strings attached from floor to roof, or similar, for support. Tie them in every foot or so.
Remove side shoots when you spot them.
Water daily in hot weather.
Add tomato fertiliser to the water (unless you’re feeling organic) following the product’s instructions.
Pinch out the tops if they get close to the roof.

I have always found that you get more fruit, the taller the plants can grow.
Commercial growers grow the plants up sloping strings (About 45 degrees) to get more plant in a restricted height.
I am growing some bush toms this year, just leave them to it.
