Wet gables

Both gable ends have been wet since build 2005. Builders been out under NHBC twice.
Carried out some repairs but still leaking/wet. Now out of NHBC so need some advice please. Where is the water getting in. Under the coping stones or the false chimneys.

sorry to say mate but there are too many significant bad variables showing in your pics.
a pro roofer could go up and take videos and give you a report, and a drone will work wonders - but you really need to have a RICS Surveyor to come out.
call round surveyors and give your thread and pics to them as a heads up.

any neighbour's in a similar position?

there's a Building Regs and Planning forum on here that will have people experienced, and informative about the legal position you are now in.

the parapet is vulnerable to leaks if the damp arrangement is not done properly.

Judging by the internal pic its leaking both sides

you could email some pics to cavity trays of Yeovil and see what they recommend and what would be expected for NHBC standards

on horizontal parapets there are proprietary trays that can be fitted -Im no sure about an angled parapet

All parapets with a cavity should have cavity trays built in. My guess is that it needs the cavity exposed -could be a block or 2 internally and investigating

To repair it properly it really need stripping back.

The parapet wall looks like it's single skin, may be boxed in above roof level.

I would have thought (may be wrong) that if NHBC were notified of the fault within their guarantee period and have failed to repair it then they're still on the hook for it. If they're stonewalling you it might be worth £50 (or whatever a solicitors letter costs these days) to send them a Notice Before Action- the build has been bodged, the repairs have been inadequate, here's your last chance before Small Claims court.

Again not an expert but the overhang on the gables looks ever so small- have you ever stood outside in the rain to see whether there's lots of drips coming off the capping stones? The corbelling on the chimney looks a bit small as well,,sure it should be 25mm as a minimum

first thing its untidy.
That aside weathering to the chimney (which i believe to be grp) is risky and a likely failing point
copings have no drip detail
roof side looks like a plastic secret gutter fitted.. presumably correctly?
The new leadwork id be interested what was done at the kneeler stone joint?
