Cycling campaigners welcome 'close pass' ruling

What about arrogant ignorant cyclists on footpaths or not giving pedestrians equal consideration

Some are, but as a driver we still need to give them clear space when we pass.
I was reading on facebook today about some older cyclist was knocked off by a woman who passed too close and didnt even stop.

If you are wearing some bright clothing and even daytime rear lights the police will likely take your close pass
complaint more serious - report - report _ report.

Black is less unflattering, for those who have a "more generous carriage"
Plus, it is probably a hangover from times gone by when, akin to Henry T Ford's words, "You can have it in any colour you like; as long as it is in black".
Finally, you will get dirty when cycling. Black shows this up less.

I do not disagree.
I was offering my opinion on why "the lycra bunch wear black".
Forgot to add to that; because it is the standard thing to do.

I nearly opened my car door on one wearing all black, this morning.
His ****ty flashing light was pathetically hard to see (now we are out of the EU they should be banned!).

Total idiots, they want us to giver them plenty of room but ride like ninja's.
