Hi ,
We have recently had a lot of work done on our pressurised hot water cylinder and boiler .
Basically after lots of fault finding and parts the system was changed from a y plan to a s plan .
We already had an expansion vessel for the potable side but now we have another expansion vessel for the heating side .
The trouble is that the heating engineer has put the new vessel in an awkward place and this has made the airing cupboard practically useless.
I asked him if it could be moved but he said it's best where it is .
With a slight adjustment to the 22mm pipe going to the blue vessel we could move it to the right and there would be plenty of room for the heating expansion vessel to be moved up next to it ,basically by extending 2 pipes , there is an auto air vent attached too.
My question is this within regs or allowed and do you need to have the G3 qualification to do this ?
I can't get anyone to come and do it at this moment in time .
Please see the attached pic .
Thanks
