Yep patience is virtue, and I am learning everyday this thing has me scunnered though. You need patience to deal with grass, learning every day, mostly by trial and error because no two situations are the same. Try different techniques, watering, seeds, mowing etc. Eventually it will improve and you will start to get the hang of it.

Hi does that mean you think it's perennial ryegrass, Google lens said that from one pic, then I used another, and it said nutsedge so wasn't consistent.Rye grass ?

Just had a light bulb moment, and yes I don't sleep lay awake all night imagining my perfect garden seriously though there's bare spots and not 100% sure need to check in the morning, but weeds are not fussy they'll pop up where they like, and I don't think any are in the bare spots, so I'm thinking it's possible that they were, are in my seed mix, cause why grow only where the seeds have germinated, if in the soil they would emerge surely, where there's no competition in the bare patches, do you think that's possible? You need patience to deal with grass, learning every day, mostly by trial and error because no two situations are the same. Wild garlic, it isn't.It does in some ways. Rub the roots and see if it smells like garlic.
I spoke to my wife about this. At first she though 'three-sided leek' but as you say it does not smell of onion / leek / garlic then clearly not.I think Facebook is your best bet. There are many gardening forums on there and lots of 'experts' happy to show of there so-called knowledge.
My wife is a member of a few. She seems to be able to talk for hours about plants and things. It bores me to tears frankly.

Thanks all good points, I never actually rubbed it or smelled it, so will do, the thing that worried me was it grew faster so when I cut it it's always going to grow quicker it's in my post above but last night I was thinking that this could actually be from my mix.I spoke to my wife about this. She also said that you would need to go on one of the more specialist lawn groups as it is quite a specialist area you're asking into.
Lastly, once it's fully grown and then mown a few times you won't notice any of it anyways![]()
