Our kitchen mixer tap is leaking from just beneath the part you turn to switch it on…where I’m pointing to in the photo. Can anyone tell me if this is a repair or replace job? We’re not advanced DIYers but we are happy to have a go ..especially if there’s an instructional video available on how to do it!

Thanks all

Is it a quarter turn tap so will need a new insert.
You can tell as tap only turns a quarter of a rotation.

It's a repair. I suggest you search on YouTube for "how to fix a leaking tap". As above, you'll just need a new insert/cartridge, and the hard part is just buying the right one.

To the OP, what would you be proposing to replace? Just the cartridge, or the whole tap??

Take the cartridge out and take to your local plumbers merchants and they should supply you with a new one..
