Hi,

I have a swivel mixer tap in my kitchen which is leaking at the base of the swivel bit, can anyone help me on how repair it please?

Many thanks

Most swivel spouts are sealed by 'O' rings fitted on the spigot at the bottom of the spout.

Some spouts are held in place with a small screw fitted in the back of the tap. Remove the screw and the spout should pull out.

On others, the fixing is not unlike a bayonet light bulb fitting. Turn the spout to one side (usually beyond the usual range of movement), and there is a position where the spout can then be pulled out.

Some monoblocs require removal and dismantling of the complete tap assembly to release the spout.

Many thanks for your help.

Had to go to 4 different DIY stores to finally get the O rings that I needed but it's all fixed now.

Cheers.
