.

difficult to know , what was removed and uncovered

we had a partial rewire , wall channelled where needed , where no conduit in place - NEW CU , floor covering all in place and cleaned up after work and as he went - BUT difficult to get hold off and LONG delays as he is so busy now

we then had issues with recommended plasterers , mess every where including the drive , walls , even across the car!!!!! - BUT was paid while i was away and found this the next day
we eventually found 1 guy plasterer who is brilliant and has done a few rooms and rendered a wall - again waiting list maybe a month or 6 weeks to get booked in
he puts down floor coverings, good cleans up afterwards and place is spotless - takes a lot of pride in work , and spends time getting it correct , not the cheapest so not working at a loss , we had a lounge completely re-plastered and between beams which was artexed and he painted the lot

have you spoken to the guys and complained , perhaps claim off their insurance, not sure how you would do that or effective that would be
BUT
have you paid in FULL ????

Who made the mess the electrician or the plasterer. Judging by the finish I would guess it was the plasterer as he hasn't done much of a job. If that is the case he is the one you should complain to.

You said 'lighting rewire' - Your fifth photo shows work has been done on the socket circuit too. Your sixth photo shows work, which is well below the standard you should expect for a plasterer. In your second large photo, it looks like boot marks up the wall.

In a lighting rewire, you would have to expect damage to decoration, and some replastering only be needed, where there are drops down to switches, not necessarily the entire room.

Some have used quinetic switches for the lighting rewire

Less messy anyhow although i’d still prefer solid wiring to gadgetry myself
