I have 2 x l4 florescent tubes under cabinets. I want to add a 3rd light. Can I add a t5? Is there a lead that goes from t4 to t5?

If not, I may change all to t5. Do you think inside the box which is at the beginning, is a stripped down t4 lead wired in? If so, all I would need to do is cut off a t5 head and wire that in. Would that make sense?

Not all the plugs are the same regardless of the tube T4 or T5, there all 230v leads though,, a new fitting will come with the relevant mains lead, simply cut it to length and it will connect into that white box, its unlikely you will find a lead to link from an older fitting to a new fitting.
Any new will be led now but use similar plug set up, for 3 fittings you would use the supply leads that come with them or you can get link leads male to female so you can link out of one direct into the other, and so on.
