My rear upstairs wall is f***d where the hell is the water coming from??

The render will hold in the moisture prevent normal wetting and drying of external walls. Gutter look to be short on both sides .?

So what's that?

i’m not sure but here’s an older picture of the wall i don’t think there’s a chimney behind it
Either the entire wall needs sealing, repointing, rendering or you've got a poltergeist. Not sure which would be preferable.

it could be condensation there’s no heating in that room but seems excesseive

Tape a piece of clingfilm tightly to the wall over the damp patch.

If moisture forms on the room side, it is condensation.

If it increases on the wall side, it is coming from the wall.

If it is coming from the wall, look at the outside during rain for water coming off the roof.
