Yes, they look like a cam lock. I have only worked with them once. I had to lock an Iroko worktop to an Iroko end panel (
both 2" thick)
I used ones from Screwfix but had to do many mockups first.
Initially, I tried using a spade bit to drill the hole for the receiver. The hole was not accurate enough, as I inserted the round cam, the meeting edges would deviate.
I ended up paying about £7 for a Bosch lip and spur drill bit. The hole was perfectly sized. As I twisted the cam, there was no deviation.
Again, use the right sized drill bits and practice on some scraps of timber.
The parts from screwfix had no instructions. It took a few attempts to work out where the cam hole should be relative to the edge/end of the panel. if too short, when you twist the cam, it doesn't lock properly, too far, it doesn't lock properly.
