Hallo
We ve recently moved into a house that has uneven concrete in the backyard. Consequently whenever it rains ( which seems to be all the time at the minute! )we have a large pool of water collecting near our back door which I have to literally sweep away . We know it needs levelling out but that needs a spell of dry weather ( Spring time ?) I wondered if there were any tricks or anything we could consider doing in the immediate short term to reduce the problem whilst we wait for dry weather. Thanks

Drilling a few holes in it may help if you go all the way through with a long bit
Or bed a paving slab or two down so you’ve got a dry bit to step out onto

Create a makeshift step out of a pallet and a wee bit of plywood, for now.

It's like a big puddle. I can sweep it away . It just collects in a cracked bit of uneven concrete

You probably won’t fully fix it until you relay or re-level the concrete, but there are a couple of things that can make it less of a pain for now. A cheap temporary fix might be laying down an outdoor rubber mat or a strip of gravel right in the low spot so the water has somewhere to sit that isn’t right up against the door. You can also brush in a bit of sand or fine gravel to raise the worst dip very slightly.

None of it is a long-term solution, but it may stop the puddle creeping up to the back door until you get a dry spell to do the proper work.

I agree with all the other comments here.
Just an idea though, how about a bag or two of Postcrete, added neat? Not tried it myself and could be a ball-ache to remove when you come to do the job properly though. Be sure to be on the ball with levels and falls as it goes off.
