Hi I had washing machine delivered yesterday they installed it but 'm not sure if the waste hose is right does it need to be going higher or is it ok?

There is often a line marked on the back of the machines, with a label, suggesting that the waste pipe must rise up higher than the line.
As a rule of thumb, I run the drain hose to rise at least as high as the machine, it can then drop back down to the waste its to be connected to.
