It didn't addle their brains, and it made life easier for them to function as near normal as possible.If you've got MS you're on the way out anyway. It really doesn't matter whether your brain remains pin-sharp or is turned to mush. If it eases the suffering then great. Honestly if someone's got a terminal condition then I doubt that anyone would object to them getting off their head on whatever they choose.
