WB heatlave not responding to stat requests - otherwise working

Both while:
stat calling and firing/active
stat calling and inactive

brown 245V
red 245V
without much variation apart from initial firing

all the rest appear to be 0
(quite awkward to get a probe in but pretty sure)

I’ve also had the valve manually overridden
which likely unsurprisingly to many gave me CH and hot water

is it possible from this to determine if its the whole valve needing replacing (suspect this)
or just the actuator ?

If you do change the power head you must use the correct one.
Search with numbers on your existing valve.
The head for the more common V4073A will not do.

Its not so much the V4073A im finding everywhere but V4043H

Are V4043H and V4044F1125 interchangeable ?

*Edit*
Apparently they are not, due to the V4043H being for 2 port

I am finding it near impossible to find a V4044F1125 actuator anywhere
Has anyone tried one of these?

Look for Heating world of spares.
Search on there for Worcester diverter valve.
They have correct part in stock.
The one above will not do.
That boiler requires a diverter valve
Most 3 ports are mid position valves work differently.

Ah, I did read in the comments of the Corgi that someone had issues because the actuator didnt line up correctly with their particular model (y)
Good to know there is actually an alternative out there !

This looks quite different to what i have - would there be a possibility its proportions wont play nice with the space available

Would you know if it still has the manual override switch? Having one has proven handy in this situation

Also I have found the whole assembly inc V4044F1125 head, new for just a couple of quid more

Seeing as the V4044F1125 could have a bad reputation for not lasting, is it possible your suggestion is more reliable(?)

Overall looks to be a trade off between knowing it'll all fit/spare valve essentially for free
against what is possibly a better head unit ..

Hoping to pull the trigger & order soon so any final thoughts are much appreciated, thanks

As a heads up to anyone finding this thread in the future you're probably best just to replace the motor as per this thread here:

Reading the OP's complaint, it does seem to fire up the boiler briefly, which would suggest the motor is running, so it seems to be the mechanism/microswitches failing, rather than the motor. Even if the motor had failed, often the mechanism itself is also worn out - I've been down that road many times over the years, it's usually false economy, and can be highly frustrating.

If the valve spindle is not tight, and not leaking, just replace the actuator head with a new one - once it is confirmed as the point of failure.
