I have warned Mottie about his mushrooms and Mrs Mottie has told him about the risks too. It is a fact that Death caps are a nasty way to go and the other toxins are well known.

They did a lot of work in the summer in Thorndon country park and I think it disturbed the ground. Hardly seen any mushrooms at all this season in places where they would be packed with 'em. :(
 
I must admit, I have been tempted and I am much better and identifying them now thanks to your thread. But I wont risk anything other than a puff ball, which aren't great tasting anyway.
