…but I do have a slight admiration for them for not bowing down to Trump and basically telling him where to stick his 15 point plan when he keeps telling everybody he has all but won the war. They've issued him with a 5 point plan of their own. I suspect he wishes he hadn’t started anything now. He's just going to lie his way out of it.

The speaker of Iran’s parliament has denied direct talks are taking place with the US, while an Iranian military spokesman mocked the attempt at a deal on Wednesday.

“Have your internal conflicts reached the point where you are negotiating with yourselves?” said Lt. Col. Ebrahim Zolfaghari, a spokesman for the headquarters, said in a prerecorded video aired on state television on Wednesday.

"The one claiming to be a global superpower would have already gotten out of this mess if it could. Don’t dress up your defeat as an agreement. Your era of empty promises has come to an end."

Maybe they will settle on a 10 point one

Mottie, I hope you're not joining the parasite protectors on here who actually want Iran to win?

God speed Trump, doing the whole world's work

Not radicalised, just seeing things how they are.

Here's an interesting take, asymmetrical warfare... Trump's made a mistake.

As I say, there is no plan, Trump is getting deeper in without knowing what he is doing, now threatening to put boots on the ground is madness, hit them hard and then pull out is the sensible way, destroy their infrastructure from the air.

Much of what he says is certainly valid, I think he misses the potential for Saudi and UAE to get involved, not for love of Trump, but to fill the vacuum the collapse of the Iranian leadersip is going to leave.

Thus radicalising a whole new generation.

Your children and grandchildren will thank you for your geopolitical perspicacity as they pick up the pieces from it.
I dont think you can just leave a regime like Iran to carry on with their terrorist activitys without any military involvement to stop them, I would prefer my children and grandchildren to live in a world without such a regime.

Tell us how well this theory of military engagement to stop regimes we don't like has been working out so far.
It's left USA weaker and more isolated each time.
Other countries have seen this increased weakness and isolation and are keeping their respective distances.

If you see their terrorist activities as resistance fighting against Israel's occupation of Palestine, and USA's interference in other countries internal affairs, the 'terrorist activitys (Sic)' take on a whole new dimension.

No a terrorist is a terrorist. His/her cause is irrelevent to that activity.
