A little jem today, I was out the front loading the car and a started chatting with neighbour as they passed, They have been quoted £2½K to 'sort out' their 3 CU's (main house, granny annex & garage) following a fault.
A Merlin MCB tripped on overload (Damaged mower cable) and now mechanically challenged, the called out lectric guy (insurance service) has said the board needs replacing as 'MCB's not available' but also fed incorrectly - 16mm² tails feed first board then T&E looped round to the other 2 boards without further switch gear or protection.

I have put a SH Merlin MCB in (the insurance service is only a safety service), Other than adding a fused switch to feed the remote boards I don't see any issues.

I remember snow in Hassi'R Mel on edge of the Sahara in Algeria, so much it was stopping the 583 cats from moving, then the sun came out, and we were sun bathing again.
Fair enough, but I still don't understand your previous post :-)

I was looking at the fees charged, although what is changed it not what is paid, I know 1985 my time charged out at £25 per hour, but I was not paid anywhere near that fee, it was all down to the cost of getting us there, and accommodating us while there, so maybe Kent is some third world area like Algeria, where no one wants to go to work?
