Hi I’ve got a 7x6 shed and wanting to make the base a dry mix and slab at end.
What do I need and what ratio of stuff.

Need more information.

You can buy slab mix in bags so use that or mix your own at 4 to 5-1.

That's 2 bags of sharp sand to half a black bucket of cement in a 42lt tub.

You slabbing entire base?

So I was hoping to get some hardcore down then mix sharp sand and cement then flags on top and then a mix for filling at the end?

Just struggling to work out how much hardcore and how much sand and cement and things that I’ll need

Ah.

75 to 100mm deep of type 1 gravel which is £55 for large bag plus £10 delivery
That's what in paying ATM
A bag of sharp sand is £45.

So I just paint £45+£55+£10
Prices will very as I live close to gravel yard and they have been around for years. Good family business.

Measure depth and size and look online for material calculator or phone local gravel merchant for quantity and costs as they will tell you.

If the large bags are slightly less than you need you can always go fetch small 20kg bags in the car.
Buying small bags though for entire job works out over twice to three times the cost so avoid that, plus the many trips in car..

100kg of sand to 20kg cement approx so I buy as I go along as storing cement in the dry is a problem for me

Oh. Get small skip to dig out and dump soil

Here is my current large bag.

Think I will need two more dropped next month.
