I have a Burlington Cistern with a SP645 valve but would like to use a traditional lever handle with a square spindle (Burlington don't do the colour I want for my bathroom). The Burlington Valve has a star connection. Does anyone know of a solution for this? I don't mind replacing the Burlington Valve if that's what it takes as I'd prefer a longer cable than the 340mm they provide ( I am considering an R&T A2432 1 1/2 dual flush but again this comes with a star attachment). Burlington Customer Service have been most unhelpful. Any thoughts most welcome. Thanks.

Probably a case of trying and seeing what fits.
Replacement parts don't cost much and trying parts you will find out the problems and maybe find something that fits.

You may need to replace the complete flush valve assembly to get the fit for the handle. Have a look at Screwfix and other online sites for what’s on offer, as you might have to experiment and return if it doesn’t work

I have a polished nickel ceramic traditional lever and Burlington only do chrome, gold or brushed nickel. I can’t find a polished nickel one with a star attachment to fit the Burlington set up. I don’t mind replacing the valve if that’s what it takes. Can anyone suggest a valve that would do the job? I’m not a plumber. Does anyone from Screwfix take part in this forum? It would help?

You may not find that exact combination and may need to use your chosen handle with a traditional cistern syphon. That would still work ok though.

Just make sure the hole in the cistern suits the thread diameter on the bottom of the syphon, but yes, it probably will. Generally 1½" sometimes 2".
