Protecting a house against widfires

What you gonna fill it with, seeing as the country is drier than a pharoah's sock?

Think on (y)

Just if anyone is thinking about this:

Yes, there is evidence that ancient Egyptians wore socks, and a special linen pair possibly worn as socks was even found in the tomb of the pharaoh Tutankhamun. [1]

interesting to watch that video - the lawn was on fire !! can't quite imagine that

not convinced about radiant heat causing spontaneous combustion through a closed window, lots of things on the patio not even singed, even the wooden posts untouched

I would love to know what part of the house caught fire first - would sprinklers on the roof have kept it back

Yep. Gave it a good leathering too afterwards. (y)

I recall a while back in the states some bloke who sprayed his house in some trype of fire retardent foam / gel as a fire approached ???

Dunno what the end result was ???

Used to be some spray on gel sold in plumbers merchants a while back for soldering / protection against blow lamps it did work

Ultimate fire protection ?? Talk to NASA ???

Is that the same stuff that stunt men and women smear over their face when they do a stunt in fire.

I don’t know

Allen Millyard the brilliant motor cycle engineer / engine creator contacted NASA ref heat protection for his V10 motorcycle

They basically told him to go and do one ( lol)

Had to come up with his own solution
