Hi, Is it the boiler or the system you are trying to empty? You probably only need to let some air in at the top of the system, open a radiator bleed valve and or a tap. Having said that i have never done it on a combi boiler but i don't see there is much difference. If you are re-filling it check if you need to add inhibitor to the radiator system.

I am trying to drain a combi boiler system( Worcester 230). I have attached a hose to the drainer connection which is below the boiler, opened up the valve but no water has drained. I have had the boiler switched on and off but makes no difference. Is the something else I should do?
Any advice would be appreciated.
