    Why is leak occurring

That looks like if you remove the larger compression nut and pipe the section remaining with the smaller hex section can be undone and removed, if so it's probably leaking along those threads and some ptfe on there should cure it.

    Hidden door in plasterboard wall

You can see there how I'd lined the inside with the mdf and the angle trim was mitred like architrave around the plasterboard. The trim painted fine with 2 coats of emulsion, didn't need any prep, the mdf was primed before paint.

https://www.diynot.com/diy/threads/what-type-of-hinges-do-i-need.645987/#post-6018842 That's the thread I made when doing the original cupboard door and needed to ask about hinges.

    Hidden door in plasterboard wall

I've done 2 doors similar to what your proposing as above. I trimmed the cut edges of the plasterboard with 20mm pvc angle trim. https://www.diy.com/departments/cqfd-white-polyvinyl-chloride-pvc-equal-l-shaped-angle-profile-l-2-5m-w-50mm-d-50mm-t-1-4mm/3232637807104_BQ.prd I then just painted...

https://www.diynot.com/diy/threads/notching-joists-will-thye-need-sistering.647473/#post-6043115 Look at my similar thread and how I fixed it. Do as I did and it should be fine.

Fuel pump not running after I shorted out nc contacts in fuel pump relay

To manually activate just the pump you'd need to supply 12v and an earth to it, I'm guessing you took the 12v from the cigarette lighter and probably didn't fit an earth. To test your ecu get yourself a test light or 12v led, connect it to the 2 pin connector, make sure the fuel pump relay is...

Fuel pump not running after I shorted out nc contacts in fuel pump relay

Using a multimeter or test bulb check for power at the fuel pump connector with the relay bridged. If you've power and a decent earth at the connector then the pumps probably failed.

    glue plasterboard back in

I wouldn't worry about the tape and compound, if the boards a good fit just some normal filler in and over the joints then carefully rubbed back will be fine

    glue plasterboard back in

That video there shows what I mean from about 3.30 onwards

    glue plasterboard back in

Not really, without supporting the edges from behind the area will always be weak and it'll be difficult to get the board back in flush. What I suggested above sounds more complicated written down than it is to do, it'll take 15-20 minutes to do

    glue plasterboard back in

How big are the holes? Cut some strips of plasterboard about 75mm wide and long enough to over lap the side of the hole, apply something like no more nails to them, slide them through the hole and position them so one half of the 75mm is glued to the back of the existing board and the other half...

Am I okay to drive my car with the engine mount removed ? It willl only be for 2 days

If this isn't a joke then get a thick bit of wood and put that across the sump and use a jack on the piece of wood to raise the engine

Notching Joists Will Thye Need Sistering?

Not sure why you think it's a bathroom, it's going to be my daughters bedroom. I'm not getting into an argument about plastic fittings, I've not personally suffered a failure in 20 years so I'm happy enough using them when concealed but it's easy enough to the lay the floor in a way that I can...

Notching Joists Will Thye Need Sistering?

Started on with the suggestions above today, decided to go both sides where possible as I've enough offcuts from cutting the sheets to land on the joists. Think I've another half a dozen which I should get done tomorrow then I need to reclip the cables and I can think about laying the floor.

Whole floors being replaced, the bits that are down still are just so there's something to move around on

Notching Joists Will Thye Need Sistering?

Hi all, Sometime prior to buying our house someone has butchered in some 22mm rad pipes that have always squeaked and rubbed on the floorboards. I'll be laying new flooring next week so today I'm on sorting out the pipework. The original notches in the joists were just enough to stuff 2...

    Sewer help needed

Does it serve only your property or do neighbouring properties feed into it? If the latter you'll require a build over agreement and they'll specify what you need to do and if they'll allow you to build over it.

    Small radiator fixed pipe.

If your painting the copper then for me that will look better than a fairly long chrome tail extension on each end

    Filler showing through glosswork

Hi all, I screwed our new skirting to the studs in the walls and filled the screw holes with one strike ready mixed filler. I'm finding the filler is still visible through the gloss paint even after 3 or 4 coats as seen below. The filler feels flush to touch it just isn't covering, anyone...
