Advice sought on suspected penetrating damp problem

Looks like water isn't running away as I can see puddles. The ground gets saturated under the slabs then the damp gets in the cavity and property. Aco drain along the centre taking water away maybe or french drain. Something like that. You also need to get those slabs away from brickwork with...

    Car insurance

I know a drunk driver that crashed into a house. The insurance paid for the house repair but not the car. I knew a guy that sat in his car listening to the cricket. If he was drinking a fair bit with the keys in the ignition at the time ( he wasn't) and someone drove into him I wonder how the...

    Car insurance

Yeah. The other innocent person is fine but if you drink and crashed your insurance is void. Even if not your fault. Although it is your fault for driving with no insurance as you are drunk. I always thought that was how things were. No insurance company will cover you to drive while drunk

    Printer "waste ink tray full".

I stick with HP printers because the print head is built in the ink cartridge. Any problems swap the cartridge jobs a good un. As for cleaning it's tricky even if you have access to professional printer head cleaners. Domestic printers aren't built to be messed with it seems. I do think we...

How to remove polyfilla from dark wood?

Filler residue can be removed with white spirit. Water just moves it about and then it dries white. My concern is the effect white spirit will have on the wood? Maybe test a small area.

Fukui v Valspar B&Q mixer operative advice

That was a faulty batch years ago. They had teams visit stores and pop the lids and add a few drops of something to stop the smell in a certain batch. It's just not valspar that's had batch problems over the years but it's the one that people remember.

How to fill hole in a table?

White is a colour. One of the paint brands I use has 7 different whites as an example. I'm not sure what you can do. You can buy white and black pigment and you could experiment with that mixing with paint to try and better match. Going to be impossible to match I'd of thought
