Hi all

Anyone know how and what I need to fill in this hole in this table? And how I make it smoothe?

Its a hollow table mostly and I have filled the hole in with filler but it still keeps dipping in and can't get it level and its not smoothe.

What should I do or use to get it level and smoothe?

Should I reapply anither layer of filler once that first one has dried but then how do I make it smoothe. I was using one of those smoother scraper things but it kept going in as ofcourse its a bit hollow the table.

Did you use 2 pack wood filler?
No I just used all purpose filler. But I have bought some wood filler today and will try that. As when I press it now it presses in and ofcourse it's uneven.

Dig out.
Maybe put something inside to firm up.
I guess it depends if it's hollow.
2 pack wood filler is very hard so you need to be tidy with your filling

White is a colour.
One of the paint brands I use has 7 different whites as an example. I'm not sure what you can do. You can buy white and black pigment and you could experiment with that mixing with paint to try and better match. Going to be impossible to match I'd of thought

I normally use waterbased artist paints mixed into 2 pack filler . Getting the colour right can take ages though.

If it is a lighter colour I use the "clear" Tetrosil StoneFill 2 pack filler. It isn't clear, it looks more like honey but it requires less in the way of artist paint. It was first recommended to me by a tiler who was filling holes in tiles.

It the requisite final colour is darker, I used the regular grey coloured 2 pack filler.

BTW, the link provided, I have never purchased from that seller.
