If a landlords property to be tested , should it be done to the 17th regardless of the age of the property ? And any work carried out to should that be done to the 17th as well or is the 16th sufficient ?

I have cable tv with ntl / virgin downstairs and have run a co-ax cable to the bedroom where i can watch bbc1 bbc2 itv and channel 4 where ndo i connect the coax downstairs so i can receive all the cable channels and can both channels be viewed at the same time ?

When using earthing nuts do you still use a lock ring to secure the gland to the box and then fit the earth nut , as to me it would seem that by tightening the lock ring down first would give a better mechanical joint and the to use the earthing nut for improved conductivity

Are unswitched fused spurs still alowed in bathrooms ie for a fan or towel rail and are their any distances from bath , sink etc ?

It appears to me that the public have no idea what part p is and are not bothered by it anyway , i thought the government a while back was going to do a public awareness on part P any thoughts ??

Does changing from a 240 v fitting to 12v downlighters in a bathroom come under part p and does swapping an existing shower unit for another also come under part p and therefrore is notiviable work ???

Is it still ok to use plastic conduit outside in the garden ???

These piranha nuts - do they fit onto the armoured cable before the gland ?

The cable is 3 core so one core will be the earth , but what if it was 2 - core ? If the brass ring is used along with a 5mm brass nut and bolt and it tests out ok then is this good enough ?

Is it ok to terminate an armoured cable directly into a plastic 2 -way garage consumer unit providing the brass ring is used with the gland kit for the earth return ? The armoured cable is the garage feed.

Tried moss killer which was no good hence had to dig up grass and replace with turf

I have replaced patches of grass with new turf but still the moss reappears Should i dig up the grass and dig down about 6" and add something to help drainage and put new soil and new turfs back in .Thanks

Can i also use a earth stake in the garage as additonal protection ?

I meant can i run a t&e cable suitably protected in a plastic conduit and use the earth of the t&e cable as the earth return path for the garage , i was only trying to explain what the Mains cable into the house was . The garage supply cable would be in a seperate way in the house consumer unit...
