    G3/Intergas/Evohome installer in Yorkshire?

Hi everyone. As per the title? Does anyone know of am installer that's G3 certified, that ideally knows either intergas, evohome or both anywhere in Yorkshire? I had a chat with Richard at the evohome shop this morning, (what a really nice bloke!) but he didn't know of anyone that fitted the...

    Building Regs Table Incomplete?

Offf perfect! Separate into the soil pipe is very much easier. For the cost of an extra strap boss it makes it really easy. :)

    Building Regs Table Incomplete?

Sorry to hijack, If I was joining to a 100mm, with a separate strap boss for the sink and a separate one for the shower, could they be in 32 and 40 respectively, or would it be better to run one into the other then 50mm to the 110mm soil pipe?

    Is buteline really that bad?!

That's exactly the thing, if I do use plastic it will likely have fewer joints in it as I can run it to exactly where it needs to be. I am planning on routing all of the plumbing (and electrics) ideally through areas I can easily get to (landing upstairs for instance) so that I can then make...

    Is buteline really that bad?!

This is the very problem...... there's quite a bit of conflicting information out there (as in if it's a good product or not)

    Is buteline really that bad?!

Yeah I'd found the PB pipe could be used, but it appears nor many people had many nice things to say about it. I know a lot of people think hep is good stuff, so I was looking at using that, but it can't be used in this country (it seems only because British standards are a bit maybe over the...

Nothing worse than not tapping a hole that's ready and waiting..........:D

A little help with a shopping list....

Obviously all my source of into is from googling, but it appears the tap in being nearer the top is to save energy as the water is hot returning so needs little extra heat if any to continue back around the circuit. Returning it back into the mains feed in will cause destratification, which...

    Is buteline really that bad?!

Hahaha. You'll get splinters in your ass sitting on that fence any longer Dan ;) Doing a bit more reading last night and it appears that I can't use plastic for the hot water side anyway, as I would like a secondary return. Although i found a really interesting post basically saying that hep is...

Electrics notes for extension / refurb

Any house alarm 'bits' going in? Or CCTV? Wired doorbell being moved? Motorised glitterball on the toilet ceiling? :)

Electrics notes for extension / refurb

Is the thermostat wired or wireless? If wired might be a good time to decide where it's going. Any outside sockets for lawnmower, jet wash etc.etc.

Perhaps a heat detector in the kitchen? I know the smoke detector isn't far away, but if there's a somewhere it could obstruct it? Couldn't quite decide if it was an open area or there was a door:)

    Is buteline really that bad?!

Aye I've got a bender. He's a good mate though. Harmless enough ;) There was enough reviews that not all of em could be sponsored, but like anything there's good and bad points. Shame, the idea of being able to run long lengths of it was bloody appealing.

    Is buteline really that bad?!

Aye I read that thread, I believe it was Bodd that used it. Getting the tool into spots doesn't really fuss me, I'll be cutting large sections of floor out anyway, and I've spent years doing things in 12v behind dashboards, now that really is tight, especially for someone a bit portly...... :D...

    Is buteline really that bad?!

Hi all, I'd pretty much decided on using buteline for a complete central heating overhaul. Then last night I came across quite a few threads about it leakingbetc etc, but i couldn't really decide if it was installation error, or that the product is actually crap. Has anyone actually used the...
