You might be right about brackets. We have a 3 column rad sitting on 6 metal brackets. I wonder if I could insert something in between to test that theory...

Water on extractor fan and shower ceiling.

Hi all. Trimmed the door in the shower room so it's around 20mm gap, little to no improvement. Wrapped flexi ducting with Thermawrap and also insulated it further by covering it with loft insulation - made it worse, water started to collect on the fan much sooner now. I'm at my wits end now...

Water on extractor fan and shower ceiling.

Can I ask you why would you not bother with insulating ducting? In-line spec mention that ducting run should be 500 mm minimum, so would you still disregard it? How critical is last point? Gap is way too small, but i suppose i can always open the window a bit or in winter leave the door slightly...

    Radiator pipework connections

That would be six access hatches in total as there are three radiators. I just want to know how secure compression connections would be, it would be shrouded for natural movement and changes to pipe under different temperatures. I would run heating for a few days without covering it in...

    Radiator pipework connections

Hi, We live in a 1960's bungalow that we move in recently. We got recommended local builder, who is doing rooms completely - plastering, painting, skirting boards etc. One of the jobs was to replace old radiators for new ones, which involved modifying pipework in the concrete floor (btw, old...

Hi, Thanks for advice Picasso, got new stat, changed, worked for 2 days, then same thing. Googled my programmer st9400c, turns out that when led is on it doesn't send enough voltage to boiler. Switched off led, working now, hopefully will stay like that. Tomorrow will write email to Honeywell...
