I'm buying an oak worktop and have narrowed it down to Barncrest or Worktop Express prime oak, but am confused as to which is better quality
They both obviously say they are amazing
The price difference is 100 so not huge

Thanks for the reply. I guess when i said clingfilm I meant more industrial type shrink wrap. Still a no no?
What worried me about gaffer tape is won't it leave a sticky residue on the paint (eg if sealing up a chest of drawers...)

Yoire rit that the 2.8cm pmes are all wood, but The 3.8cm ones which is what we need for the sink are mainly particle board with about 1mm of wood

We're getting an ikea kitchen and want wood worktops but aren't very impressed with the ikea ones. They're ot solid wood and seem to chip easily (lots like that in store)
Can anyone recommend a place to get oak worktops?
I've seen barncreast and Norfolk oak but are they worth...
Presumably thought this "third" wire has been there for a while, so its as likely to cause a problem today as it was a year ago?
I will be getting a builder and electrician in in August to redo the whole kitchen - so anything I do would just be temporary until then.

I'm pretty sure it's not the element as I've replaced the main element with a new one and that dint work
I'll have a look for a circuit board - dont remember seeing one...
I removed the top and connected the two wires going into the thermostat, and that didnt do it, so it's not the thermostat that's broken. Any other ideas what it might be?
