I want to put some external windows on an angle. I know I should just use roof windows but they are a lot more expensive. Surely if i just silicone the glass into the frame that would work.

Hi, does anyone know if you can tilt a normal double glazed unit (in a uPVC frame) by 15° backwards? Some frames allow water to drain down onto the cill and out, but if if was tilted backwards would this still work? If there a way of making them waterproof. Adding silicone?

Sold this house now. On to the next project!

18" is plenty for blocks.

Thanks. I have to say very relieved the door fits and the hinges take the weight. Months of planning, measuring, lots of concrete! The brickwork isn't too special. I'm no bricky! I'm thinking I'll either clad it or get it rendered.

Yeah the fences are all very 'tired'! They were well gone before I moved in. Another thing on the list! A few people have mentioned TV shows, but apart from the door its a fairly boring shed I guess, I don't think they'll be interested. Maybe when ive finished everything.

I've made my own brackets for floating shelves in my kitchen. They were really difficult to get right. I made them from steel. Basically a bar with rods coming out. The rods have to be incredibly accurate and match perfectly with the holes you drill into your shelf. But actually I think...
