I have a socket one side of the bed at a low level. I want to move this socket further up the wall to go above a bedside table. I also want to add another socket on the other side of the bed. Would you use the existing socket as a junction box with a blanking plate fitted?

I’ve been and measured the window myself and it’s actually 1235mm so need to lose 20mm thinking I will be able to take the ribs off and then hopefully squeeze it in. It’s a concrete pre fab so can probably grind a touch of concrete off either side if needs be. Thanks for your replies.

Hello, I need a new garage window. Original width is 1215mm. I have the opportunity of a cheap 1240 wide one, can I trim 12.5mm off each side of the UPVC frame without too much trouble? Thanks

Yes you did. Doesn’t look possible for me. No amount of levering is going to clear the door from the frame. Even managed to pull the bottom track out and still wasn’t enough clearance. Might help if I take the glass out of the door. Job for another day or year At least I know no one can...

So finally got round to try and replace the rollers on the door. Covers are off, anti lift blocks removed. Still impossible to lift out the door. Anyone know how the hell you supposed to get the door out of the frame?

Thanks Crank. Sounds worse than I feared. If it’s that difficult to get out then I presume it’s difficult to also get back in? Where would I get the hardware required for the runners. Any ideas?

Hello, I have the attached sliding doors. Don’t know the make. Looks like the rollers have failed as jamming up on closing. Before I set too taking all the covers off does anyone know if there is an easy way to get to the rollers? Thanks

Thanks SFK. You are correct about yellow for warm and white for cold. Managed to get a 24 volt dc power supply today. Wired red into positive and but yellow and white into negative. Works a treat. With a nice light output and colour.

The output wires are crimped to 3 wires of the led strip light of the light fitting.
