My Washing machine works fine as a washer but recently refused to start the drying cycle. I have replaced the machine and this one is showing low water pressure, could this have been what stopped the dryer working?

When the valve rotates the cam/cog arm should make contact with the microswitch. Should this contact be a momentary thing or should the microswitch be permanently engaged in order to fire up the boiler?

However, there is resistance when the system is powered up. Ahh so it is open and jammed at all times, just not operating the microswitch? Prior to swapping heads could I take the HW head off and manually try to open/shut the valve to free it?

OK, thanks for the input. I have powered down the sytsem completely and then I checked the lever on the valve head. I can push it across to the manual position without feeling any resistance and if I let go it does not return to the default position. When I do the same on the CH valve you can...

Thanks for that. Yes, I am competent. Well, I am with electronics. I presume you should check in the actual valve and that the valve to check is the one upper one in the pic?

I didnt mean the cost of the radiators, I understand I would have to pay for those as that is a maintenance issue it is the collateral damage I was querying. BTW was it a big leak?

It has been serviced! But I have had to have a few valves etc replaced.

Citroen Can I ask why? Back to CH any suggestions? (My concern re leaks is that for some reason the installer/builder buried some of the pipework under a concrete floor and a cobbled hallway..)
