Rads on ground floor do not work

@terryplumb pics of the valves are attached One end has standard TRV The other end doesn't have a traditional lockshield. It like another TRV. Family are reporting that as the pipework is coming out of the wall horizontally and there is no play/movement in the pipe, getting it off the wall is...

Rads on ground floor do not work

    1. Last week the boiler wouldn't fire up/run. It had an F75 error. 2. Vailliant engineer changed the pump and the boiler began running again. The system was installed about 2 years ago. I know that it had inhibitor.. Can't say whether it had a chemical flush. But it definitely never had a...

Rads on ground floor do not work

Contacted Vailliant: They won't send an engineer. They said that they'd be surprised if this is a pump issue as it was just replaced. According to Valiant, the ground floor rads not working suggests an airlock/ restriction. Would a power flush sort out the issue? I was thinking of getting...

The ground floor rads were not checked. Today I have - bled all rads - drained the system - stuck wet vac on end of a ground floor rads to remove any possible airlock - I've shut the valves upper floors and opened the ground floor and still no heat. The pipe (i suspect it is the flow)...

How to properly repaint staircase that's already been painted in the past?

It's oil based satin wood in black. Water based on stairs? Really? Is that a good idea? The whole reason I went for oil based in the first place is due to its durability/toughness Can water based paint take heavy use from everyday staircase use? Good point. To be fair, the only parts that...

How to properly repaint staircase that's already been painted in the past?

Two years ago, I painted my wooden stair case (pine and ply) with Zinsser Bin & Dulux Trade Satinwood (oil based). Overall the paint job is still in great condition. However, high wear areas e.g. tread nosing and newel post are looking tatty and are in need of touching up. Can any of the...

    Has gas meter been capped?

Apparently, the gas was capped by the council as the property was unused for a long time. So who do i call to get the boiler commissioned? Building Control?

    Has gas meter been capped?

There is plenty of credit on the meter. Thanks. I spoke to the supplier and set up a fresh account when i moved in. As i have no idea who installed it, i will call out a gas engineer to commission it. They will hopefully be able to get everything up and running and provide Warrent for the boiler

    Has gas meter been capped?

You're like Agatha Christie putting all the right pieces together to crack the case. Yes, the supply was switched (prior to me moving in) by the gas company to pay up front (prepayment) mode. What's the significance of switching from credit to prepayment? The boiler is new but...

    Has gas meter been capped?

You 'can' or 'can't' tell if capped? If you can't tell, would a better pic help out? Or do i have to get a gas engineer out?

Does doorbell wire need to follow safety cable zones?

That's brilliant. Thanks for confirming. I am glad that the regs have taken a common sense approach. Extra low voltage isn't dangerous/ fatal, so they should give you more freedom to bury the cable outside of the electrical safety zone. The above is just my opinions.
