There is plenty of credit on the meter.I think what is being suggested, is that you could have run out of credit, with the result that the meter has switched the supply off.
Thanks. I spoke to the supplier and set up a fresh account when i moved in.That's the first thing I'd check. If you don't know who your gas supplier is, you'll need the MPAN or postcode- if you Google 'who supplies my gas' there's links to various sites. You want supplier not transporter.
Once you've found your supplier, contact them and see what's what.
(Especially if you are renting) you may find you are on a tariff with no standing charge but high unit costs. You may also find there's a big fat negative balance from a previous occupant - not your problem to pay it, tell them when you moved in, get a new account set up.
As i have no idea who installed it, i will call out a gas engineer to commission it.The first thing to check is the boiler install, get on to them. It should not have been left uncommissioned, whatever the problem with the meter is.
They will hopefully be able to get everything up and running and provide Warrent for the boiler
