    Bathroom heater

Worry would be if u would overload the 13A. So add the two wattages together and divide by 240. If it’s less than 13, you could get away with it

    Dishwasher install advice

yes, but you need to work out how to get the massive plug for the new one thru the wood. Usually there isn't enough room behind the DW to plug into power outlet, as it would cause the DW to stick out. So that is probably why it has been put to the side. You could be very luck that the DW may...

    Cabling for motorised valves

Unvented cylinders do not need to be at the top of a house, as they run off mains pressure, with a small reduction. Basically you have the mains water come into the "airing cupboard". Then you have a pressure reducing value with 3 outputs. 1. Water out supply to water cylinder 2. Water out to...

    Cabling for motorised valves

I don't know who mentioned explosions. But you can't just leave unvented cylinders unmaintained for years, else they will fail early and have to be replaced at cost ££££ Good news is that is easy to do yourself. Once a year you just move 3 valves/taps for ~10 mins, draining off the expansion...

Converting old heating control to socket

So you could fit a 10A fuse in the fcu and run almost anything on a single socket. Don’t think there are many things that use the full 13A these days.

Converting old heating control to socket

Some where there should be an fcu with 3a fuse to turn it off. The live is the red wire on the left. The hole spacing is designed to fit a single socket. Depends what you want to plug in really or just make it tidy?

    Cabling for motorised valves

"I've extended the CH pipes to where a cylinder would go" Obviously think about summer time (for example). You need boiler hot water to the cylinder when the heating is off. The return can be combined with the CH return. These days you also need a bypass valve, for when all the motorized...
