Hard to tell from the photo, but the resistor (D7) above Relay 2 looks to have possible thermal damage. New Salus stuff is supposed to be ok, but they have always been renowned for being poor quality. Maybe try a different brand?
I would have thought that's better as it's easier to replace? As per @noseall, remove another r loose tile and look for a name printed on the reverse side
If you’re certain it’s capped then yes.
No special tools should be required. You should install a vent in the unused chimney part though, otherwise you may get damp.
@crank39 might be your man, if not as I said take to a local lock supply company, they should be able to match what you need, they may even know the make.
Ok, well those cables are touching the pipe and should be 25mm away from it.
I don’t the think I’ve heard electric tails being called cold before. What I think you need to do is either contact the previous homeowner if possible or investigate more where the cables run.
