    pensioners food home delivery

Hi, No problems with Wiltshire Farm Foods. Used to order them for my father, I then knew that he was having a meal each day that was nutritious. He could cook/prepare his own breakfast and supper, when he wasn't in his greenhouse, garden or pottering in his workshop! Wiltshire would deliver each...

    Radiator sizing

Hi, my lounge is 4 x 5½ metres, and the type 22 rad is 500 x 1800 mm (approx 9000 BTU) perhaps a little too large. Could you have a taller rad, as well as a longer one? As Doogle says a 10% or more larger one is the answer. I would also check the rad sizes of all your other rads and rooms - if...

    Removing part of stone fireplace

Hi, I remember building one of these fireplaces back in the 70's at my first home, (Bradstone?). The side extension was an integral part of the fireplace build, however I'm sure a competent bricklayer would be able to remove it, but would have to make good the gaps when removing the toothed-in...

White Flat Plate Mortice Door Switch Push to Break 2A (toolstation.com) Or I have used a double pole appliance switch that is not unlike a standard light switch, but has the...

You can try a herbicide on Ash, but I find it needs to be dug out. On future Ash saplings dig out as soon as spotted.

PlantNet can identify by either the flowers or by leaf. Load the App, use your camera to take a pic, then either select identify by Flower or Leaf and then read its suggestion. If will give a percentage % of the probability of its answer being correct. Found if useful once to identity a 'weed'...

Hi, Ash - smooth bark - is a fast growing nuisance, it puts a deep tap root straight down, it takes a bit of digging to remove. ( I have a big problem with this) Elder - brittle - again fast growing, no strength, very leafy in summer. Neither are good hedging plants. The rest of the hedge...

No Water after 4 plumber visits please help!!!

Hi, One other thing I've noticed is that the immersion heaters are rated at 16 amps each, but they are feed from switched fused spurs, that can only accommodate a 13 amp fuse. Surly a 20 amp switch should be used, and directly wired back to your consumer unit.

    Baxi back boiler

One pipe above your hot water cylinder (the draw off pipe) can lose a lot of heat due to 'single pipe circulation'. Ensure this pipe is well insulated.
