How to remove valve in shower

Pull the white plastic off. Some are held with a grub screw through the body so run your finger around to feel for a hole. Otherwise they are screwed in. You will need the water off to avoid excitement.

How to unscrew this kind of tap?

Oh yes in one photo the screws are gone. I would have loosened them and then you have something to put your finger and thumb on to spin the nut. Grips can be used but probably not required. Threads look nice and clean.

    Hot Water Running Out

No, the pipe to shower head is irrelevant. No idea what showers you have, ideally it would be a bar shower mixer but it could be fully concealed with only push buttons available or an electronic one below bath. You may also have blending valves (tmv) fitted to wash basins or bath and a fault...

    Reverse Circulation when HW On

With your check valve in place this is as expected. If you fit a check valve to t.rail circuit all should be well but t.rail will then only come on with heating. If you can move the t.rail flow to anywhere between the pump and the 2 diverter valves you would have all year round operation and...

    Reverse Circulation when HW On

If there is a circuit there will be circulation. If you read again my last post it explains why towel rail reverses when hw on. It also flows through all of the radiators in the right direction. If you turn the towel rail off on your diagram you can then see the alternative route, backwards...

    Hot Water Running Out

Run a shower on hot till the body is nice and hot. Turn off shower and open a cold tap. Cold running through shower valve will rapidly cool the shower body. The faulty valve could well be providing a secondary loop, circulating on gravity, which would deplete the hot water store.

    Reverse Circulation when HW On

On hw only, most return water will take the direct route from tee 2 to tee 1 but some will take the more complicated journey, backwards through the towel rail and forwards through every rad and check valve in the house. Probably not noticeable at rads but turn them all off bar one and you will...

    Hot Water Running Out

On those Center ones (I hate spelling it that way) the secondary return tees into the cold feed. There is a horizontal pipe behind the cylinder and the hoover hides where it goes to. Does it tee into the cold supply pipe?
