How many sq meters in a day from two brickies on £120 each ?

I will ask for a price to finish the job TBH they are not the best and are not taking care. For example I have two stones on a corner showing a cast face and not a split face! What can be done with those?

How many sq meters in a day from two brickies on £120 each ?

Well the answer today is a combined effort of 3 mtrs sq and two sills... they are using re-constituted stone blocks and have cut to length and fitted a couple of stone sills also... that's 1.5 sq meters each FFS... I could do that!! Me thinks they are taking the P !! what do you think they...

Blocks not square top face to bottom.. does it matter

Thanks for that (taper being from the back of the block to the front).. I didn't want them pushing out... but guess it would have to be a lot more for it to do that... Not sure what other 'cast' products have.. maybe some of these have 'draw' to get them out of the mould??..

Blocks not square top face to bottom.. does it matter

Here is a question for those who know about wall building…. I’ve had to cut some 140mm high Costone done to get 100mm blocks.. problem being that the saw was not perfect and has put a bit of a tapper on the top face…so if I measure one side of the block it’s 100mm… but the other side it’s...

Urgent answer.. builders have built on plastic DPM ??

intersting though... I've just put a block on a strip of Visquene and pulled it out... you do that with DPC and it won't move (the block falls over).. so even if they are small 1mm diamods imprinted in the surface, it does prevent any sideways movement for sure ;)

Urgent answer.. builders have built on plastic DPM ??

OK.. so I have a small 3mtr extension being built... I've dug a hole 3 x 3 and put strip foundations in... I've then got about 1 meter of solid foundation blocks to bring the build out of the ground just below surface level.... On the outside of this I've put Visquene in a Z shape.. so it sits...

Urgent answer.. builders have built on plastic DPM ??

Im told by building control that tanking is not required,, we are well drained so should not be a problem... and its on the outside of the build so should be okay.. just a OTT precaution as I had to buy a big roll of the stuff. . On the DPM v DPC... The DPM being Visquene... but at least DPC...
