In the old app, the option wasn't there, however in the new app its an empty box, it would make more sense if the designer had made it so no text removes a box and centres what's left. That shouldn't be too hard for a developer, but it testing it on all the various different smart devices blah...

Not heard anything so no idea. Either they haven’t got round to it or it’s fixed.

Tested and yes it removes text but doesn’t disable the arming. Maybe raise it on their forum or with their tech support.

You need might need to talk to Texecom. The fact the text is no longer there, suggestions the app has updated. However it is possible that this version of the app keeps the place holders. I will test shortly to confirm

You could talk the user over how to generate an app code, you don't need to be onsite.

you need a login for the cloud and then you can register the panel in the cloud. you need engineers code and a app code less than 60 minutes old

Have you generated an app code ? has the panel been registered on the cloud?

Possible nothing broken? Panel would not show any faults for chime being turned off. It would possible show faults if the wiring was wrong, although panel speakers don’t usually show up as a fault if not wired. Normal speaker sounds would still work.

Does the panel have a chime button, at the moment it sounds like the relay is working, the bing bong is not, which is a door chime like thing. That could have been disabled when the panel lost power in the power cut.

So just bell that’s dead then? And possibly panels bell fuse blown?

With you think these needs a deeper look, doesn’t add up. The relay works via the panel, panel not triggering bell after power cut. What was cause of power cut?

So for me, it’s a case of what point its broken. Sounds like the sounder after a power cut. Beam broken, relay in garage still works? Ie garden bell light works just not house bell? so why can’t bell be replaced??

I am lost. Says wireless doorbell setup ideally? You say the current bell on the alarm failed after a power cut, don’t under stand why that would be the case. If the panels back up battery took over nothing should of changed. Struggling to visualise what you have and what you want to achieve.

Wireless doorbell is to achieve what, without power to the unit they will regularly be walking out and replacing a spare battery to keep it running!
