Potterton Netaheat Electronic 16/22 - Nothing happening

Thanks glasgowgas. Do you mean the thermostat (in the hall) or the one on the boiler? How do I check these? The one in the hall clicks when I turn up so I guess that's OK. The boiler was working up to about 3 hours ago, if the stat had overheated, would it have cooled down by now?

Potterton Netaheat Electronic 16/22 - Nothing happening

Wow, thanks for the quick replies, much appreciated. Just taken the controls cover off to access the 1 amp fuse. It looked ok. I don't have a spare tonight so can't be sure, will try and get one tomorrow. I had a new pcb about 2 years ago and a new fan about 1 year ago so am guessing that...

Potterton Netaheat Electronic 16/22 - Nothing happening

Help please! My Potterton Netaheat is not working. Electronic timer controller is switched, heating and water lights are both on but nothing is happening to the bolier, no noise at all - fan is not starting up. I've tripped the thermo in the hall and can here it click, but still nothing...

Electrolux 7831 - fridge too cold and noisy

I have an Electrolux integral fridge freezer (model 7831) which is about 7 years old. Recently the fridge has become way too cold (even with thermostat down to number 1), ice forms on the inside back wall. Also, it has become fairly noisy most of the time, sounds a bit like Darth Vader...

Potterton Netaheat Electronic 16/22 - won't start when hot

Really appreciate the replies and the fact that you guys share your knowledge so willingly.....much appreciated. The PCB was brand new (I think!). So sounds like either the solenoid (difficult to get part now) or a sticking relay (sounds more likely as a thump makes it spring to life...

Potterton Netaheat Electronic 16/22 - won't start when hot

My Potterton Netaheat Electronic 16/22 runs OK for 15 mins then won't start again until it cools down. I see the tiny blue spark trying to light the burners and the fan is running but it won't start. In the last 2 years I've had a new PCB, new fan and just had new spark electrode (metal...

    Potterton Netaheat 16/22 cutting out

Does anyone know the answer to this? Was it the gas valve? I have a Potterton Netaheat Electronic 16/22 with the same problem. Also in the last 2 years had new PCB, new fan and just had new spark electrode (metal finger). I have found that when the bolier is trying to restart when hot...

Potterton Netaheat Electronic 16/22 - system flush

I have a Potterton Netaheat Electronic 16/22 boiler which is 'banging' quiet a bit. Could flushing the system potentially cause me problems (exposing leaks, etc) or should it be safe to do? Reading about acidic/non-acidic cleaners I get a bit confused about the significance. I guess flushing...

    Potterton Netaheat Electronic 16/22

Please excuse my ignornace, but presumably a Potterton Profile e60 is one of the new type of condensing boilers? In replacement for my Netaheat, I would have to have a condensing boiler now wouldn't I? When Mr. British Gas gave me the quote for £3.5K he said I would have to change to a 22mm...

    Potterton Netaheat Electronic 16/22

Thanks for replies. Last serviced abot 2-3 years ago. Noise sounds like it's coming from the bolier (thupin/canking every 20-30 secs for about 10 mins). Anyone recommend someone to replace the bolier from my area (Basingstoke, Hants)?...hope to leave till spring. British Gas quoted 3.5K...

    Potterton Netaheat Electronic 16/22

Boiler is just under 20 years old. In the last 3 or 4 years have had fan and PCB replaced. The boiler itself is now getting noisier, banging noises for about first 10-15 minutes after firing up. then it quietens down. Reading advice, suggests it may need de-scale, especially as we live in a...
