You make good points, thanks. Setting the blade depth to the thickness of the laminate and yes to reuse the removed laminate are my thoughts to start with. As for services, I’m not 100% but I will make every attempt to check .

Had a look at Lathams but it was not clear if the door came with a door frame, locking system etc. Looking at GRP Doors site it’s very comprehensive showing all the accessories and costs. That said, I did like Latham steel doors for the security as you point out.

We need a new external back door. Had a look on line and had a read about GRP doors and would welcome the views on what to look for and what to avoid. Any recommendations would be appreciated . peter

I will need to cut a trap in already fitted laminate flooring. Can I ask what circular saw blade should I use. Will only be doing this once so I like to keep the blade cost to a minimum if possible. Thanks, Pete

Does sounds like the 3 port valve. You could drain/use hot water to get the boiler to fire up thus heating the rads also, to keep warm until you sort it. Another option is also to close in the balance valve ( only open 1/2 a turn )on the cylinder. This will keep the boiler firing thus heating...
