We used to shuffle tyres around. The tyre company our lease company uses won't do it. Our rears wore down to 2mm just a bit over 21K. The fronts are still fine at 27K. You may have guessed it's RWD. The factory fit tyres were EV ones.

I've had 1970s pvc cable like that. And I have seen grey plastic cable from older houses looking a bit like pvc but not, labelled Ashathene. It used Polythene and was a precursor to pvc.

In my experience, the wood is a ply wooden back box with dovetail joints. Originally, the faceplate screws would have been woodscrews that would have been driven straight into the backbox. It has been butchered a tad at the top to let in the cables. I can't tell if that is capping or conduit...
