    What is going on here? If you haven't got the knowledge do this job employ somebody who has. An estate agent friend of mine tells me the biggest cause of altered/extended house sales falling through is non-acceptance of unsuitable/uncertified work.

    To do serious drawing for local Authority approval and builders use you need professional software. Sketchup and the like are good for quick schemes and tinkering. Don't be mean, try TurboCad or AutoCad LT. Large hint; look at computer fairs

    Speak to the local planning officers, after all they will have the final say. A planning officer once pointed out to a client of mine - if you demolish a building how can you replace it, there is nothing there to relace. Remember the green belt is there for a very good reason.

    I've recently used non drip paint (Crown Colourizer), when applied as suggested on the tin - liberally load brush and don't over brush - although it does not drip I get sags in the finish. If I stir the paint I get a consistency not far off normal drippy paint which brushes out much better and...
