Why do the installers 'lock' the system, it's the customers not theirs. Anyway enough about two bit electricians doing stuff that only security guys should do!....and usually getting it totally wrong. As Sparkymarka, there are documented ways to get around NVM locks, these involve shorting out...

I think it's press and release the tamper spring 3 or so times on power up to fully default the system IIRC.

This is probably being caused by this parameter, it can only be altered using the engineering menus.

Just wondered, as i had a system suffer a lightening/surge, took out one of two keypads, the panel, an expander, dualcom, and two of the pir's, the smartcom survived, followed normal procedures on the cloud to 'replace' panel, but still had connection issues, Texecom advised me to check IP...

The panel will support a maximum of 24 zones, the panel has 8 zones on-board, to use more zones you fit an 8 zone expander, expander 1 will give you zones 9-16, expander 2 will give you zones 17-24. If you want to incorporate wireless devices you can fit an expander that will allow wireless...

If you have the engineer code you can confirm how many zones you are using, if you have a wireless expander fitted etc, and a plethora of other things relating to the system, as long as you know what you're doing/looking for-you can also seriously muck stuff up if you dont!

Is there a contact on your exit door?, if so give it a few sharp taps, sometimes they can stick causing the system to not see the door shutting.
